My gluten-free life! Training for the 2013 Boston Marathon w/Team In Training in memory of my uncle Fred Abate. Let's find a cure for blood cancer: http://pages.teamintraining.org/ma/boston13/ashmcgill
First run since Boston; a 3 week break. My head is clear, legs are rested and heart is full. Feeling good.
And this is one reason why I love the people of the U.K.
This gave me a good feeling…can’t wait for BostonMarathon14
A must read here. I read the first article about being a marathoner earlier today and I’m so glad I found this one too. I wear the same running shoes as her and no I’m not sick but I run for a cure. I run for blood cancer. I admire this women for her drive, strength and compassion. I wish I could hug her and everyone else who feels the way I feel today. We run for cancer, but now we run for Boston too.
Do not simplify. Do not worry about failure. Failure is a badge of honour. It means you risked failure.

Call it anxiety, call it what you want..bought 4 new sweaty bands at the expo. I’m ok with it!
Remembering Fred Abate
I know you’re probably sick of these posts and I’m OK with that! You only need to sit through 2 more days of it. It’s a beautiful sunny morning to donate to an amazing cause! Help us remember Fred Abate tomorrow! Don’t forget I’ll be choosing a winner to the Red Sox tickets raffle tonight!
